I found blog, blog, blog to be fitting for WW because they can use a blog to share ideas like recipes, success stories, tips for tracking, and more. Using a blog is a great way for WW to connect with the users of their program as well as potential users. The second tactic I found to be most important is story trumps product. WW doesn’t offer a physical product but more of a service in their tracking software. I found this tactic to be important because one of the reasons why people would sign up for WW is because others have had success with it. One of the ways that WW can use the tactic ‘story trumps product’ is by sharing different success stories their customers have shared. They can also share experiences of customers through their weight loss journey. This can include how they used the community feature on the online application or how they connected with others in physical meetings. The last tactic I thought would be helpful is diversifying with video. WW has a great following on both Instagram and Facebook, both having over one million followers. However, their YouTube channel comes up short with only 77,000 subscribers. They could really diversify their social media standing by including more video content for their subscribers and for people interested in subscribing. When I scrolled through their social media channels, they don’t share a lot of video content outside of advertisements. YouTube has a wide audience, and over 90% of WW’s target market for this campaign uses YouTube (Chen, 2020). Video content could be an awesome opportunity for WW to share recipes, how-to videos, and success stories with their target market. They should also make sure to post these videos on their other social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram using a link or the swipe up feature in Stories. Our brand is all amount creating an image that people will remember with ease. By using the photo content strategy, we can create fun and unique ads that peak our customers interests in our products to make them come back for more.Diversify with video: “By 2013, videos are estimated to be 90 percent of all web traffic.” (Chapman, 2012). Nike has always been able to adapt to the wants and needs of their customers. Since we know that stories and photo content strategies will appeal to our target market, we can add to that by using videos to increase conversions and user engagement. It will also help us portray our story to the masses and increase our chances or having the campaign spread through several social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.Google Analytics would be extremely helpful for Nike because we would be able to see if our tactics were successful or not. It would allow us to figure out which part of our campaign was a success, and what parts of the campaign did we lose the viewers.
