Journal Entry 4Pick 1 Topic Question1. “A & P” (Updike 437): What does Sammy’s description of the shoppers in the A & P as “sheep” and “houseslaves” tell us about him? Does his judgment seem fair or biased? Additionally, how did his description and admiration differ from the shoppers to the girls in the A & P? Use at least one citation to support your claim. 2. “Boys and Girls” (Munro 400): How might this story be different if it did not end with the horses? More importantly, what do you think the horses symbolize? How do you know?
